Beaker Street @ TMAG, for National Science Week
Have you ever been to a bar that features its very own jellyfish corner? We thought not! But you're in luck. BeakerStreet@TMAG is Australia's first pop-up science bar and it's opening its doors real soon.
“Imagine walking into a bar and uncovering a sort of deranged biology lab, crossed with a curio shop, crossed with an enchanted bioluminescent parlour of discovery,” explains festival organiser and founding director of Beaker Street, Dr Margo Adler.
The festival will also be filled with microscopes, scientists wandering around to chat with you over a beer, live music, and a non-stop program of events.
Beaker Street is part of National Science Week and will run from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th August.
It's all happening at the TMAG.
Entry is free and there'll be a great range of local food and drinks available to purchase.
The festival is geared at adults, but children are welcome to attend under adult supervision.
